WOMEN IN RESEARCH & INNOVATION
Fortune 500 companies with the highest representation of women board directors attained significantly higher financial performance, emphasizing the fact that mixed research teams simply perform better. Indian research and innovation only stands to benefit from equal rights, equal careers and the equal participation of both women and men.
It is our ambition to deploy all efforts possible to make gender equality a reality in the realm of research and innovation. Too few women are in leadership positions and too few women are involved in decision-making. We need to correct these imbalances.
-
Fostering gender balance in research teams, in order to close the gaps in the participation of women.
-
Integrating the gender dimension in research and innovation (R&I) content, helps improve the scientific quality and societal relevance of the produced knowledge, technology and/or innovation.
We need female leadership and entrepreneurship at all levels of politics, business and science, so that India can truly be able to reach its potential.
